Sunset Yards is located in the heart of Sunset Park: easily accessible
by train, bus, car, or bike. It’s a few blocks to public transit
including the D, N, and R trains; or if you prefer to drive, Sunset
Yards is adjacent to the Gowanus Expressway.
Once a bustling industrial center on the East River, and perpetually
a microcosm of the New York melting pot, Sunset Park is constantly
evolving. Construction of the Bush and Brooklyn Army Terminals at
the turn of the 20th century brought economic prosperity and an
influx of new residents that peaked during the Second World War.
In recent years, a significant number of Sunset Park’s notable
buildings have been repurposed and revitalized, propelling the
neighborhood into a vibrant new era of commercial growth and prominence.
